| Abstract: | It is said that ethics should be present in any professional job no matter how humble it may be, even more when we deal with journalism because we are the ones who deliver the truth to society. What do we do to get to it? Do we adhere to a process or evade it? Maybe we do not even deliver the truth, but an interest, rumors or opinions that are taken as truth. The journalist's role is then seen through one series of responsibilities and obligations to society. Even more when you want to do your job with vocation, it will not be difficult to accomplish your goals because you will perform your job in such a way that your enjoyment would be seen in each note, your passion for it and know that it is what society needs. However, if you do your job only for a salary, then you will search the easier way to do your job, without an effort, without a delivery. Moreover, not having that joy for performing your job, then you will give society vain and superficial information, where the only interest is economic or environmental. Finally, what I intend to address in this issue is to promote journalistic ethical principles and values that are the essence of the work in the mediums; to reach the communicators through these lines conveying a taste for their work; allowing them to feel the vocation inside and look beyond themselves; to encourage them to face their fears to the same people or to the owner of a media that wants to impose its interests; trying to encourage them to really see to society. |
| Description: | Se habla de que la ética no debe faltar en ningún oficio profesional por más humilde que éste sea, más hablando de periodismo, que somos los que entregamos la verdad a la sociedad, ¿qué hacemos para llegar a ella, nos regimos a un proceso o lo evadimos?, tal vez ni siquiera se entrega la verdad sino un interés propio, rumores u opiniones que son tomadas como una verdad. El papel del periodista se ve entonces en medio de una serie de responsabilidades y obligaciones para con la sociedad, más si cumple este oficio con vocación, no le será difícil cumplir con ellas porque realizará su oficio de una manera tal que pondrá en cada nota su disfrute, su pasión por el mismo y sabrá que es lo que necesita la sociedad, pero si cumple este oficio solo por una paga buscará el lado más fácil para realizar su trabajo, sin un esfuerzo, sin una entrega y al no tener ese gusto por hacerlo, dará a la sociedad una información vana y superficial, donde el único interés es el económico o el interés también del medio, en fin lo que pretendo tratar en este tema es promover los principios y valores éticos periodísticos que son esencia de la labor en un medio, llegar a los comunicadores y transmitirles mediante estas líneas el gusto por su labor, que lleguen a sentir la vocación en su interior y mirar más allá de ellos mismos, que tengan el valor para enfrentar quizá sus miedos ante la misma gente o ante el dueño de un medio que quiere imponer su interés, tratar que miren realmente a la sociedad |
