Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present two proposals for musical arrangements of the Bolero
"Esta tarde vi llover". The first arrangement presents the musicality of Armando Manzanero in
the Bolero genre and the second version is made in the Pop genre, through the musical
characteristics of the artist Alejandro Lerner. For the realization of the two versions, themes
by Lerner and versions of the theme in study by Manzanero are selected, the same ones that
serve to obtain resources and compositional styles characteristic of the two artists. For this
reason, the selected themes are analyzed musically, based on the authors Jean LaRue and
Schenker and thus present the new musical proposals with different genres. At the same time,
the scores of the arrangements are attached as annexes, as well as the musical transcriptions,
which have been useful for the realization of this project.
Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como propósito, presentar dos propuestas de arreglos musicales del
Bolero “Esta tarde vi llover”. El primer arreglo presenta rasgos y gestos estilísticos de
Armando Manzanero en el género bolero y la segunda versión se realiza en el género pop,
mediante las características musicales del artista Alejandro Lerner. Para la realización de las
dos propuestas, se seleccionan temas de Lerner y versiones del tema en estudio de
Manzanero, los mismos que sirven para obtener recursos y estilos compositivos
característicos de los dos artistas. Por ello, se analiza musicalmente los temas seleccionados,
basados en los estudios de los autores Jean LaRue y Schenker y así presentar los nuevos
arreglos musicales con géneros diferentes. A su vez, se adjuntan como anexos las partituras
de los arreglos, así también como las transcripciones musicales, que han sido útiles para la
realización de este proyecto.
