Abstract: | Objective: To analyze the social determinants that exist in adherence to treatment in people living with HIV/ AIDS at the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital, Cuenca 2017-2018.
Material and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study was carried out. carried out on 109 patients who were diagnosed with HIV/ AIDS in the year 2017-2018, treated at the Jose Carrasco Arteaga Specialty Hospital who met the inclusion criteria, the data obtained from the AS 400 System were entered and analyzed in the program SPSS 15.
Results: It was found in this hospital unit that 90.8% of the population were men, the average age was 35.08 ± 12.01 with a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 75 years, 91.8% were between 20-59 years, the majority heterosexual with 47.8%, single marital status 70.1%, and 47.8% had a third level title, The most used ART was the combination of TDF+FTC+ EFV with 86.2%. The prevalence of abandonment of ART is 3.66%, the minimum time of abandonment of ART was 6 months and the maximum of 3 years, the sex, the city of residence, the work occupation did show a highly significant relationship with the TARV and its abandonment with a value p<0.05.
Conclusions: The prevalence was lower than other studies carried out in similar populations in centers of the same complexity, with which we can conclude that in this hospital center there is adequate adherence to ART. |
Description: | Objetivo: Analizar los determinantes sociales que existen en la adherencia al tratamiento en las personas viviendo con VIH/SIDA del Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca 2017-2018.
Material y Métodos: Se llevo a cabo un estudio cuantitativo descriptivo transversal. realizado en 109 pacientes que fueron diagnosticados de VIH/SIDA en el año 2017-2018, atendidos en el Hospital de Especialidades Jose Carrasco Arteaga que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, los datos obtenidos de Sistema AS 400, fueron ingresados y analizados en el programa SPSS 15.
Resultados: Se encontró en esta unidad hospitalaria que el 90,8% de la población eran Hombres, la edad media se encontró 35,08±12,01 con una mínima de 14 y máxima de 75 años, el 91,8% se encontraba entre 20-59 años, la mayoría heterosexuales con un 47,8%, de estado civil solteros 70,1%, y el 47,8% tenían un título de tercer nivel, El TARV más utilizado fue la combinación de TDF+FTC+EFV con un 86,2%. La prevalencia de abandono del TARV es del 3,66%, el tiempo mínimo de abandono del TARV fue de 6 meses y el máximo de 3 años, El sexo, la ciudad de residencia, la ocupación laboral si mostraron una relación altamente significativa con el TARV y su abandono con un valor p<0.05.
Conclusiones: La prevalencia fue inferior a otros estudios realizados en poblaciones similares en centros de la misma complejidad, con lo que podemos concluir que en este centro hospitalario hay una adecuada adherencia al TARV. |
