Abstract: | Physical activity is a fundamental axis for the welfare of people, accompanied by
proper nutrition, favor the prevention of high-risk diseases, including the psychological aspect
as it improves the self-concept of themselves, all this demonstrated by various studies, which
show us countless benefits for all, and due to the situation through which the world went
through because of the pandemic by COVID-19, we must emphasize the importance of
physical activity and maintaining good eating habits in favor of our health, that is why this
study aims to identify the effects generated by the confinement and social isolation due to the
pandemic COVID-19, on the level of physical activity and eating habits in young school
children between 14 and 17 years, through the application of questionnaires such as: Eating
Behavior and the International Questionnaire of Physical Activity, questionnaires that consist
of sections of a before and during the confinement because of Covid-19, the application of
these questionnaires will be to students of the Unified General High School of the Alicia Loza
Meneses Fiscomisional Educational Unit in the school year 2020 - 2021. Finally, it was found
that there are not so significant statistical changes in the level of low physical activity (31.5%-
33.1%), moderate physical activity (24.6%-25.4%) and high physical activity (43.8%-41.3%),
where it is evident that most students are physically active. With regard to eating habits, it was
determined that both the consumption and preparation of food improved significantly during
the Covid-19 pandemic. |
Description: | La actividad física constituye un eje fundamental para el bienestar de las personas,
acompañadas de una adecuada alimentación, favorecen en la prevención de enfermedades de
alto riesgo, inclusive en el aspecto psicológico ya que mejora el autoconcepto de sí mismos,
todo esto demostrado por diversos estudios, que nos manifiestan innumerables beneficios para
todos, y debido a la situación por la que atravesó el mundo a causa de la pandemia por COVID-
19, debemos recalcar la importancia de realizar actividad física y mantener unos buenos hábitos
alimenticios en favor de nuestra salud, es por eso que el presente estudio plantea identificar los
efectos generados por el confinamiento y asilamiento social a causa de la pandemia COVID-
19, sobre el nivel de actividad física y hábitos alimenticos en jóvenes escolares de entre 14 y
17 años, mediante la aplicación de cuestionarios como: el Comportamiento Alimentario y el
Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física, cuestionarios que constan con apartados de un
antes y durante el confinamiento a causa del Covid-19, la aplicación de estos cuestionarios será
a estudiantes del Bachillerato General Unificado de la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Alicia
Loza Meneses en el año lectivo 2020 - 2021. Finalmente se constató que existen cambios
estadísticos no tan significativos sobre el nivel de actividad física baja (31,5%-33,1%),
actividad física moderada (24,6%-25,4%) y actividad física alta (43,8%-41,3%), donde se
evidencia que la mayor parte de estudiantes son físicamente activos, en lo que concierne a los
hábitos alimenticios se determinó que tanto en el consumo y en la preparación de los alimentos
mejoro notablemente durante la pandemia por Covid-19. |
