| Abstract: | Background: Child development is the basis of human development, mainly in the cognitive, motor, language, social and self-help fields, for which it is decided to evaluate child development in boys and girls from 0 to 3 years of age who attend the " Semillitas Child Development Center”, through the EDI child development assessment test.
Objective: To evaluate the child development of children from 0 to 3 years of age at the Semillitas Child Development Center.
Methodology: It is a descriptive, quantitative and prospective study; for the statistical analysis of the qualitative variables, tables of frequencies and percentages were used, for the quantitative variables the measures of central tendency were used: mean, median and mode; the results were presented through statistical tables, graphs in the Microsoft Excel 2016 program and the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program.
Results: The study was carried out with a population of 60 children from 0 to 3 years of age, of which 43% were male and 57% female. The most prevalent age is children from 31 to 36 months with 33%. According to data from the Child Development Assessment Test "EDI", 47% of children are delayed in their development and 16% are at risk of delay. |
| Description: | Antecedentes: El desarrollo infantil es la base del desarrollo humano, principalmente en el ámbito cognitivo, motor, lenguaje, social y autoayuda, por lo cual se decide evaluar el desarrollo infantil en niños y niñas de 0 a 3 años de edad que asisten al “Centro de Desarrollo Infantil Semillitas”, mediante la prueba de evaluación del desarrollo infantil EDI.
Objetivo: Evaluar el desarrollo infantil de los niños y niñas de 0 a 3 años del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil Semillitas.
Metodología: La presente investigación es un estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo y prospectivo; para el análisis estadístico de las variables cualitativas se utilizaron tablas de frecuencias y porcentajes, para las variables cuantitativas se usaron las medidas de tendencia central: media, mediana y moda; los resultados se presentaron mediante tablas estadísticas, gráficos en el programa Microsoft Excel 2016 y el programa IBM SPSS Statistics 23.
Resultados: El estudio se realizó con una población de 60 niños de 0 a 3 años de edad, de los cuales el 43% corresponde al sexo masculino y el 57% al sexo femenino. La edad más prevalente son los niños de 31 a 36 meses con un 33%, y el 100% es de procedencia urbana. Según el desarrollo evaluado, el 47% de los niños se encuentra con rezago en su desarrollo y el 16% con riesgo de retraso, en estos resultados los factores de riesgo biológico tienen una importante implicación |
