La orientación familiar en casos de violencia física a niños y niñas dentro del sistema familiar

Abstract

To begin the present academic work, I will do it through a definition of Family Orientation, and for this I will say that it is a strategy aimed at providing help and accompaniment to a family in decision-making and the solution to their problems. But today we will focus on cases of domestic physical violence of children. The general objective pursued through this work is: To base on the role of the family counselor in cases of physical violence against children within the family system. And the specific objectives are a) Identify the consequences of physical violence against children within the family system, and b) Know the functions of Family Counseling in cases of physical violence against children within the family system. The methodology used was bibliographic research and updated statistics, this information; this information was analyzed through critical reading, for the statistics the interpretation of codes and legal articles of Ecuadorian legislation was used. Through this research work, the following conclusions were reached: • The family is conceived as the social and legal space for the protection of children. • Parents are the agents who beat, assault, punish and threaten children both physically and psychologically, finding in most cases alcoholic parents and with the presence of parenting patterns in families in which punishment was accepted. • The role of Family Guidance and the need to raise awareness among families in strengthening affective bonds is recognized with the aim of promoting an environment that favors the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development of your children. • It is a social responsibility to develop training processes in this subject and to become aware that children deserve to achieve a decent standard of living, to which we all have the right. Physical violence against children within the family environment, and the corresponding analysis of symptoms, causes and consequences explain the importance of Family Counseling and the role of Counsellors in preventing it. The research was carried out in different written documents, books, statistics, and scientific articles, which allowed to deepen the analysis of the subject.
