Abstract
The present work is intented to obtain a mixed sonority, with the objective of spreading
Andean music in an academic context, through the timbral versatility offered by this
format. The work will contribute to the orchestral repertoire of Ecuatorian music with
another perspective of the use of Andean Instruments. The theoretical significance of the
featured composition lies in a different use of the ensemble and the role of Andean
instruments in an orchestral setting. In addition to this, by writing the suite, the author
contributes to the options of mixed repertoire.
Resumen
La presente obra pretende una sonoridad mixta, cuyo objetivo es difundir la música andina
en un contexto académico, mediante la versatilidad tímbrica que ofrece este formato. La
obra aportara al repertorio orquestal de música ecuatoriana con otra perspectiva del uso de
instrumentos andinos. El valor teórico de la composición de dicha obra radica en el uso y
funciones que cumplen los instrumentos andinos dentro del ensamble orquestal. A más de
ello, al realizar la composición de la suite se pretende crear un repertorio mixto.
