| Abstract: | The present work had like objective to determine the values of counting and leukocyte formula in people from 23 to 42 years of age, regardless of sex, height and weight residing in the city of Cuenca in the two last years, with the aim of establishing reference chords to our reality. The study was conducted in 1,000 individuals selectec randomly in the 14 urban parishes in the city. The 64.7 % are women and 35.3 % are men, who were applied a survey to their health status, the background pathological personal and family.
The examinations were carried out in the Clinical Laboratory of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, using the analyzer blood CELL DYN 3,700 of 21 parameters. The predominant age ranges from 23 - 26 years. The half size is in 160 cm and the weight in 63,4 kg. The average of white blood cells is of 6,872 +/- 43,3. The average of neutrophils is 53,7 +/- 0,89. The average of lymphocytes is of 33,5 +/- 0,160. The average of monocytes is of 7,2 +/- 0,048. The average of eosinophils is of 2,6 +/- 0,031. The average of basophils is of 0,8 +/- 0,008
We found a significant relationship between: white blood cells with age (p= 0,003), monocytes with age (p=0,033), neutrophils with sex (p=0,026), eosinophils with sex (p=0,026), monocytes with sex (p=0,000), monocytes with size (p=0,000). And there is not a significant relationship among the rest of the studied variables
The end of the present investigative work came to the conclusion that the values obtained both in the ranges as in the averages do not vary significantly with the used as reference in our midst.

| Description: | El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar los valores de recuento y fórmula leucocitaria en personas de 23 a 42 años de edad, sin distinción de sexo, talla y peso que residan en la ciudad de Cuenca en los dos últimos años. El estudio se realizó en 1.000 personas seleccionadas de manera aleatoria en las 14 parroquias urbanas de la ciudad. El 65 % son mujeres y el 35 % son hombres, a quienes se les aplicó una encuesta para conocer su estado de salud, antecedentes patológicos personales y familiares. Los exámenes se realizaron en el Laboratorio Clínico del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, utilizando el analizador hematológico CELL DYN 3.700 de 21 parámetros. La edad predominante fluctúa entre 23 - 26 años. La talla media se encuentra en 160 cm y el peso en 63,4 kg. El promedio de glóbulos blancos es 6.872,5 +/- 43,3. El promedio de neutrófilos es 53.7 +/- 0.89. El promedio de linfocitos es 33.5 +/- 0.160. El promedio de monocitos es 7.2 +/- 0.048. El promedio de eosinófilos es 2.6 +/- 0.031 y el promedio de basófilos es 0.8 +/- 0.008. Encontramos una relación significativa entre: glóbulos blancos con edad (p= 0,003), monocitos con edad (p=0,033), neutrófilos con sexo (p=0,001), eosinófilos con sexo (p=0,026), monocitos con sexo (p=0,000) y monocitos con talla (p=0,000). No hay relación significativa entre el resto de las variables estudiadas. Al finalizar la presente investigación se llegó a la conclusión que los valores obtenidos no varían significativamente con los utilizados como referencia en nuestro medio.AU |
