| Abstract: | Adolescence is a stage of transition from childhood to adulthood. It is a time of important
changes in all areas of operation; it is a period that requires significant adaptation to the physical
and social changes that distinguish child behavior from adult. One factor that determines the way
adolescents cope in adulthood is the family climate in which this transition takes part. The family
climate or environment is the quality and quantity of socio-emotional support and understanding
that parents provide their children within the home. This includes the social environment that
constitutes the conditions, circumstances, and interactions between family members; thus,
individuals must have effective and positive interactions in this environment to survive and prosper.
The present research has the general objective of describing the family climate in thirdyear high
school students at the Chiquintad Educational Unit, it is also intended to characterize the level of
family climate according to the dimensions of the Moos scale and determine the family climate
according to the marital status of the parents. This study has a quantitative approach, with a
descriptive cross-sectional design. The study population is made up of 60 third-year high school
students. The Moos Family Climate Scale (FES) was applied and information was collected on the
variables: age, sex, academic performance, migration and marital status of the parents. The
distribution of the students was obtained according to the levels of family climate, both globally
and by scale dimensions (relationships, development, and stability) The results revealed that the
family climate of the students is average, in the same way, the dimensions of relationship and
stability; however, the personal development dimension is at a bad level. Therefore, it is concluded
that, according to the average family climate of the students, they acquire the skills for their
development in all the contexts that surround them, this is because their family system is based on
the support, trust, and open communication, etc. |
| Description: | La adolescencia es una etapa de transición de la niñez a la edad adulta. Es una época de cambios
importantes en todas las áreas de funcionamiento; es un período que exige una adaptación
significativa a los cambios físicos y sociales que distinguen el comportamiento infantil del adulto.
Un factor que determina la forma en la que los adolescentes se desenvuelven en la adultez es el
clima familiar en el cual esta transición toma parte. El clima o entorno familiar es la calidad y la
cantidad de apoyo socioemocional y comprensión que los padres brindan a sus hijos dentro del
hogar. Este incluye el entorno social que constituyen las condiciones, circunstancias e interacciones
entre los miembros de la familia; así, los individuos deben tener interacciones afectivas y positivas
en este entorno para sobrevivir y prosperar. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general
describir el clima familiar en estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato en la Unidad Educativa
Chiquintad, también se pretende caracterizar el nivel del clima familiar según las dimensiones de
la escala de Moos y determinar el clima familiar según el estado civil de los padres. El estudio tiene
un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo transversal. La población del estudio está constituida
por 60 estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato. Se aplicó la Escala de Clima Familiar (FES) de Moos
y se recopiló información de las variables: edad, sexo, rendimiento académico, migración y estado
civil de los padres. Los resultados revelaron que el clima familiar de los estudiantes es promedio,
del mismo modo, las dimensiones de relación y estabilidad; sin embargo, la dimensión de desarrollo
personal se encuentra en un nivel malo. Por lo tanto, se concluye que, según el clima familiar
promedio de los estudiantes, adquieren las habilidades para su desarrollo en todos los contextos
que los rodean, esto se debe a que su sistema familiar está basado en el apoyo, la confianza y la
comunicación abierta, etc. |
