Estudio de los factores subjetivos del enfoque de la pobreza multidimensional: en el cantón Sevilla de Oro, Provincia del Azuay: en el año 2020

Abstract

The research analyzes the subjective factors of the multidimensional poverty approach in the population of the canton of Sevilla de Oro and how they are conceptualized from the subjectivity of the informants. The approach was from the qualitative approach with a simple-holistic, descriptive case study research design. The techniques used to collect primary information were the semi-structured interview and focus groups. The sampling for the selection of the informants was intentional by extremes, applying 11 interviews and 2 focus groups. The data analysis was carried out using the thematic content analysis technique, contrasting the interview data, the focus groups and the concepts and theories of the theoretical framework. The results reveal, from the perception of the informant subjects and the analysis of the studied factors, the emergence of four final categories or central themes called: Subjective perceptions, Conception of subjective poverty, Happiness and satisfaction with life and Education as a priority of the person, which contribute to the emergence of a new conceptualization of subjective factors of the multidimensional poverty approach from the subjectivities of the informants who live in the canton of Sevilla de Oro, where it appears that subjective poverty is not only the difficult economic situation that they go through, but it has implicit other aspects that they perceive as more significant for their life such as values, well-being and education.
