Eficacia del rituximab con base en los valores de proteinuria y clearance de creatinina en pacientes con nefritis lúpica en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga durante el año 2018

Abstract

Background: the lupus nephritis is a common complication and serious of systemic erythematosus. The therapy is based on immunosuppressant and glucocorticoids. Currently have been planted like feasible treatment to Rituximab. But the level of evidence about its efficacy is limited. Objective: evaluate the efficacy of Rituximab base on the values of proteinuria and clearance of creatinine in patients, who have lupus nephritis (CIE, M:321) at the Jose Carrasco Arteaga Hospital during 2018. Method and Materials: a descriptive, observational, and retrospective study. The data used was from patients who have lupus nephritis who used Rituximab. It was carried out during 2018. We evaluated the efficacy of Rituximab when we compared the values of clearance of creatinine and proteinuria. We did it before and after treatment. Also, we evaluated the demographics’ characteristics. To collect data, we used a survey specifically designed. We processed and analyzed through the software SPSS version 25. The results show in frequency charts, percentages, averages, standard deviation, bar graphs for better visualization and we used the sing rank test from Wilcoxon. Results: we studied twenty-eight patients with lupus nephritis as samples. The 78,6% are women, with an average age of 38,36 years. The 35,7% of people researching show membranous lupus nephritis (class V). When we compare the sing rank test from Wilcoxon. We realized the values of clearance of creatinine and creatinine nonsignificant variations. These variations were at three, six, nine, and twelve months. It means the levels are the same in the previous situation as in the later values. However, the proteinuria’s values of 24 hours revealed significantly lower from administer of Rituximab. In the third month evidence significant changes, which stay in six, nine, and twelve months. Conclusion: The Rituximab like part of treatment of lupus nephritis. It showed a stabilizing effect in the values of clearance o creatinine and creatinine. Meaning without progression in the illness but proteinuria demonstrated an improvement in 24 hours.
