Satisfacción posanestésica en pacientes sometidos a cirugía cardíaca en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga. Cuenca, 2019

Abstract

Introduction: The degree of satisfaction of patients undergoing anesthesia for surgery is a topic of interest, not evaluated locally or regionally. The José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital (HCJA), a cardiovascular referral center in southern Ecuador, does not have a post-anesthetic evaluation of these patients, so a local study is necessary. Objective: To determine the degree of post-anesthetic satisfaction in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out from January to December 2019. All patients undergoing cardiac surgery in 2019 were studied. The SATISCORE survey was applied to assess satisfaction. The data were transcribed from the clinical history, AS400 system, to the forged works, and were analyzed with the SPSS 25 system. Results: Patients undergoing cardiac surgery at the HJCA in 2019 in relation to the degree of post-anesthetic satisfaction, feel very satisfied with 67.6%, 32.4% satisfied and there are no dissatisfied patients. Of the satisfied patients who are very satisfied, 27% are between 51 and 65 years old, all satisfied patients are older than 51 years with 32.4%. Men feel more satisfied in relation to women with 18.9% in relation to 13.5%. Conclusions: The degree of postoperative post-anesthetic satisfaction in the HJCA is adequate and potentially improvable in aspects such as pre-anesthetic information and the role of the anesthesiologist in the perioperative period.
