Abstract: | Background:
The Syndrome of Burnout is considered like a state of mental, physical and
emotional exhaustion, caused by chronic stress that makes it impossible for
professionals or students to continue with their jobs on a normal way, considering
that this condition could lead to multiple and serious problems both in the work and
personal areas, it's important to address this issue, since the interns of the Early
Stimulation in Health career, dedicated their time and skills for their well-being and
development of the boys and girls who are being care.
Objective:
To determine the frequency of Burnout Syndrome in residents of the Early
Stimulation in Health career at the University of Cuenca.
Methodology:
It is a descriptive and quantitative study; the frequency of Burnout Syndrome in
residents of the Early Stimulation in Health career at the University of Cuenca was
determined using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire with the
statistical program IBM SPSS version 22.
Results:
The study had a total of 52 residents of the Early Stimulation in Health career at
the University of Cuenca, a total of 92.3% are female and 7.7% are male. The
investigation found that 1.9% of the female sex presented a high level and 90.4% a
low level of Burnout Syndrome; while 7.7% represents the male sex (all males)
obtained a low Burnout level. |
Description: | Antecedentes:
El Síndrome de Burnout es considerado como un estado de agotamiento mental,
físico y emocional, causado por el estrés crónico que imposibilita la capacidad de
los profesionales, o estudiantes a continuar con su trabajo de manera habitual,
considerando que esta condición podría llevar a múltiples y graves problemas
tanto en el ámbito laboral como personal, es importante que se trate de este tema,
ya que los internos de la carrera de Estimulación Temprana en Salud, dedican su
tiempo y capacidades para el bienestar y desarrollo de los niños y niñas a cargo.
Objetivo:
Determinar la frecuencia del Síndrome de Burnout en internos de la Carrera de
Estimulación Temprana en Salud de la Universidad de Cuenca.
Metodología:
Estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo; se determinó la frecuencia del Síndrome de
Burnout en internos de la Carrera de Estimulación Temprana en Salud de la
Universidad de Cuenca, mediante el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)
con el programa estadístico IBM SPSS versión 22.
Resultados:
El estudio contó con una participación de 52 internos de la Carrera de
Estimulación Temprana en Salud de la Universidad de Cuenca, de quienes el
92,3% pertenece al sexo femenino y el 7,7% al sexo masculino. La investigación
nos dio a conocer que el 1,9% del sexo femenino presentó un nivel alto y un
90,4% un nivel bajo de Burnout, en tanto que el 7,7% representa del sexo
masculino (todos los varones) obtuvieron un nivel bajo de Burnout. |
