dc.description.abstract | Based on the initial construction of Bandura (1997), the perceived self-efficacy constitutes a fundamental factor within the cognition and behavior of the individual, influencing the way of reacting, either positively or negatively, to the demands of the environment in which they perform. This study aims to describe the levels of self-efficacy in healthcare personnel, in addition to determining the existing differences in the levels of perceived self-efficacy in relation to the sociodemographic variables of the participants. To carry out this study, a nonexperimental, cross-section, quantitative approach with a descriptive scope was used. The study involved 22 workers belonging to the "San Joaquín" Health Center in the city of Cuenca in 2020. Of the participants, 10 were men and 12 women, aged between 23 and 59 years. The data was collected through a sociodemographic form and the application of the Generalized Self-efficacy Scale for the Ecuadorian Context. The results of the study reveal that the level of self-efficacy in the population has a mean of 31, a score that indicates that self-efficacy occurs at high levels; In addition, among the most important results, there are non-significant differences in the levels of perceived self-efficacy in relation to the area of work, marital status, job stability in terms of work time and relationship with the institution, and the age range of the participants | en_US |
