Efectos adversos de la vacuna AH1N1 en los pacientes crónicos y embarazadas inscritos en el centro de salud Pumapungo del área no. 1, Cuenca 2010

Abstract

ABSTRACT Objectives: Set adverse effects in hronic patients and pregnant women who received the H1N1 vaccine at the health center area Pumapungo No. 1 in the city of Cuenca in the month of April 2010.

Methods and Materials: A descriptive study of all patients who came to register for the period specified by the Ministry of Public Health. For the survey data was used a questionnaire similar to that used by the European Medicines Agency in the European Strategy for Influenza A/H1N1 Vaccine Benefit-Risk Monitoring, which was filled by the researchers. Data were analyzed in Excel and are presented in tables and graphs. Statistical analysis was descriptive frequencies and percentages. The total value of this project was around $ 500.

Results: In the study 69. 4% of vaccinated patients were older than 50 years.93.3% were patients with chronic diseases, 4.85% were pregnant women. Of these patients showed that 25.9% had no adverse effects to the vaccine. Adverse effects that occurred were mild (inflammation at the site of the lesion, sore throat, cough).
