| Abstract: | Restorations, adaptations, changes of use and destruction of heritage buildings in the city of
Cuenca reduce the historical memory of its inhabitants, by losing the essence of the spaces
and hiding the history that the architecture contains, and consequently, the attachment
towards the preservation of heritage assets decreases.
Therefore, this research work seeks to recover the historical memory of a heritage asset through
the use of graphic and digital expression to reconstruct historical periods of great importance
and contribution to the evolution of the building itself, and the city, choosing as a case study a
construction of the Historic Center of Cuenca, to carry out its analysis.
To support a graphic reconstruction, it is necessary to research as much documentation as possible
of the property analyzed, creating a historical study that helps to understand the evolution of
the heritage asset and also develop criteria to visually represent the historical moments that
collective memory of society.
The methodology used allows graphic expression to be used as a communication language, to
transmit the values that are contained in the architecture of the building, in a more accessible
way to the general public, showing through graphics the descriptions found about this architectural space. |
| Description: | Las restauraciones, adaptaciones, cambios de uso y destrucción de edificaciones patrimoniales
en la ciudad de Cuenca, reduce la memoria histórica de sus habitantes, al perder la esencia
de los espacios y dejar oculta la historia que contiene la arquitectura, el apego hacia la
conservación de los bienes disminuye.
Por lo anterior el presente trabajo de investigación busca recuperar la memoria histórica de un bien
patrimonial a través del uso de la expresión gráfica y digital para reconstruir periodos históricos de
gran importancia y aporte a la evolución de la edificación y la ciudad, escogiendo como caso
de estudio una construcción del Centro Histórico de Cuenca, para realizar su análisis.
Para lograr sustentar una reconstrucción gráfica se necesita investigar la mayor cantidad de
documentación posible del bien analizado, crear un estudio histórico que permita comprender la
evolución del bien patrimonial y desarrollar un criterio para graficar las momentos históricos
que definen al bien y deben mantenerse en la memoria colectiva de la sociedad.
La metodología utilizada permite usar la expresión gráfica como un lenguaje de comunicación,
para transmitir los valores que están contenidos en la arquitectura de la edificación, de una
forma más accesible hacia el público general mostrando a través de gráficos las descripciones
encontradas del espacio arquitectónico. |
