Morbilidad, mortalidad materna y neonatal y calidad de atención en el hospital San Sebastián del Sigsig 2010

Abstract

Objective: Identify the major causes of morbidity and maternal and neonatal mortality and the quality of care at the Hospital San Sebastian Sigsig in the first half of 2010 "

Method and materials: a descriptive study was conducted in the first half of 2010. The study included pregnant women and infants treated at the Hospital of Sigsig in the areas of maternity and neonatology. Was conducted by collecting data through the form # 051 (CLAP) and test evaluation of the neonate, standards and indicators, and protocols established by the Ministry of Public Health. The information was recorded, processed and analyzed using the Perinatal Information System and Excel.

Results: In the first half of 2010 are 134 births of which 102 were normal and 32 C-sections. Had some type of pathology: 74 females (36.4%) and 51 neonates (29.1%). Maternal and neonatal mortality is 0%. The predominant breast pathology is incomplete abortion (38.5%)% and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia (51.9%). The percentage of compliance with quality standards above 85%.

Conclusions: There was no maternal or neonatal deaths. In terms of compliance standards and indicators should join efforts to improve the quality of maternal and neonatal.
