La estética del surrealismo para la construcción de sueños en el cortometraje Quimera

Abstract

This research wants to access the understanding of surreal aesthetics and complement it with film techniques that support the cinematographic realization of dreams in the short film Quimera. For this purpose, the fundamental postulates are supported not only in Freud with his practice of oneiric psychoanalysis and the mechanisms derivated from the Work of the dream, such as: figuration, condensation, displacement, regression and censorship but also in Breton's conceptions, about the surrealism and dynamics of a "psychic automatism" able to express the functioning of thought. In adittion, for the technical resolution of dreams, Deleuzian concepts have also been integrated to allow that the five analysis scenes to be combined with the theoretical foundations of Freud and Breton so that they could be redirected through the use of the subjective - image supported by Deleuze. All these concepts have been integrated into a bibliographic and conceptual research, which has related certain concepts with the film analysis of three cinematographic works (The modern Sherlok Holmes, The mansion of Araucaima and Blak Mama) where we have traced glimpses of a certain surreal aesthetic and we have adapted them for this purpose.
