Abstract: | Every human being is characterized by an identity called personality, which is reflected in their way of thinking, acting and reacting to the environment, and thus also in beliefs of self-efficacy. Therefore, the main objective of this paper was to determine the relationship between personality types and the level of self-efficacy of electrical engineering students.
Two hundred and forty-seven students from first to tenth semester participated, of which 201 applications were valid according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. For data collection, the Million Personality Styles Inventory (MIPS), the General Self-Efficacy Scale (EAG) and the socio-demographic record were applied. Personality styles such as openness, modification, individualism, extraversion, sensation, reflection, systematization, communicativeness, firmness, conformity and control show a positive relationship with selfefficacy; while preservation, accommodation, introversion, withdrawal, hesitation, submission, dissatisfaction and agreement have a negative relationship. In conclusion, individualism, reflection and control have manifested a high level of relationship with selfefficacy in this study group. |
