Abstract: | BACKGROUND: worldwide here are significant deficiencies in knowledge about pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reactions (ADR), however, the attitude and predisposition for this field is good. Therefore, is essential need to raise awareness about the importance of pharmacovigilance and the report of ADR to improve safety in patient care. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: determine knowledge, attitudes and practices on pharmacovigilance and RAM in the rotating medical interns of the University of Cuenca period 2019.
METHODOLOGY: an observational descriptive study conducted on 212 rotating medical interns of the University of Cuenca, 166 met the inclusion criteria, which were characterized by age and sex. A form prepared by MATA MALDONADO JESUS on “KNOWLEDGE DIAGNOSIS, ATTITUDES AND SKILLS AND EVALUATION OF A PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM IN PHARMACOVIGILANCE TO HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IN THE H.G.O. DO NOT. 221 DR. EMILIO CHUAYFFET OF THE MEXICAN INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SECURITY”. Instituted based on our research work.
RESULTS: average age was 24 years, the female sex predominated (59.6%). 61.4% have regular knowledge, lack the ability to perform certain activities in FV and ADR notification, however, the predisposition is adequate. CONCLUSIONS: the regular knowledge in FV and ADR interferes in the attitude and development that medical interns can have in daily practice. |
Description: | ANTECEDENTES: a nivel mundial existen deficiencias importantes en conocimientos sobre farmacovigilancia (FV) y reacciones adversas a medicamentos (RAM), sin embargo, la actitud y predisposición para este campo es buena. Por lo tanto, la necesidad de sensibilización acerca de la importancia de la farmacovigilancia y el reporte de RAM es indispensable para lograr mejorar la seguridad en la atención del paciente.
OBJETIVO: determinar conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas sobre farmacovigilancia y RAM en los internos rotativos medicina de la Universidad de Cuenca periodo 2019.
METODOLOGÍA: se trata de un estudio observacional descriptivo realizado a 212 internos rotativos medicina de la Universidad de Cuenca, 166 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, quienes fueron caracterizados por edad y sexo. Se aplicó un formulario elaborado por MATA JESUS sobre “DIAGNÓSTICO DE CONOCIMIENTOS, ACTITUDES Y HABILIDADES Y EVALUACIÓN DE UN PROGRAMA PILOTO DE CAPACITACIÓN EN FARMACOVIGILANCIA A PROFESIONALES DE LA SALUD EN EL H.G.O. NO. 221 DR. EMILIO CHUAYFFET DEL INSTITUTO MEXICANO DEL SEGURO SOCIAL”. Adaptado en base a nuestro trabajo investigativo.
RESULTADOS: el promedio de edad fue de 24 años, predominó el sexo femenino (59,6 %). El 61,4% tienen un conocimiento regular, carecen de la habilidad para ejercer ciertas actividades en FV y notificación de RAM, sin embargo, la predisposición es adecuada.
CONCLUSIONES: un conocimiento regular en FV y RAM interfiere en la actitud y desenvolvimiento que los internos pueden tener en la práctica diaria. |
