Guía para la elaboración de un proyecto arquitectónico de intervención en edificaciones patrimoniales en la ciudad de Cañar: caso de estudio Casa Alfonso María Arce

Abstract

The buildings listed as heritage have values that go beyond those mentioned, as they were spaces inhabited by iconic characters and in some cases, illustrious people of the city, who due to the way of life developed within these spaces configured the history of the city. A vacuum has been detected in terms of regulations that facilitate the recognition of all the values that a good can present, which focus only on the recovery of the material aspect, leaving aside the cultural value that they can contribute to perpetuate the historical memory of the city.

The entire process of data collection is based on the legal regulations in force within the town, which is also analyzed, determining the strengths and weaknesses it possesses. Based on the analysis of a particular case, it is intended to demonstrate the recognition of values that are not considered when intervening in such a building. It has been taken as a reference, to an inventory building as heritage, which has a high cultural wealth as it is the house in which one of the city’s illustrious characters resided and worked: Don Alfonso María Arce, journalist who owns the first printing press in the city.

The proposed Guide, aims to guide construction professionals in all processes that allow a proper valuation of assets to be able to detect values that are not only recognizable to the naked eye, but also those that need further study. deep in order to recognize them all, to provide adequate treatment to the building with sound decisions regarding the intervention processes. In this way the end of this work is justified, hoping that it will be very useful to a city that holds the title of Archaeological and Cultural Heritage of Ecuador.
