| Abstract: | In this work a road infrastructure management system of the Miraflores - Sinincay - Racar section is carried out, in the Cuenca canton, province of Azuay in Ecuador. The management methodology consists in developing an inventory of the elements that make up the road network and carrying out a survey of the deteriorations along the 9.2 kilometers that comprise this section of road, to generate a database that allows an evaluation of the surface condition of the pavement using the methods of the PCI and Windshield Survey. The results of the evaluation were categorized into four groups Good, Regular, Poor and Failed and from this it is proposed to carry out the alternatives of Patching, Bituminous double surface treatment, Overlay and Reconstruction respectively. Markov chains are used to predict future pavement conditions, based on the determination of the current condition and considering the condition that would be reached when implementing maintenance alternatives to correlate it with the deterioration of the pavement. The above will allow intervening in a timely manner with the appropriate maintenance alternative to improve the level of functionality of the road. |
| Description: | En este trabajo se realiza un sistema de gestión de la infraestructura vial del tramo Miraflores – Sinincay – Racar, en el cantón Cuenca, provincia del Azuay en Ecuador. La metodología de gestión consiste en desarrollar un inventario de los elementos que conforman la red vial y realizar un levantamiento de los deterioros a lo largo de los 9.2 kilómetros que comprenden este tramo de vía, para generar una base de datos que permita realizar una evaluación de la condición superficial del pavimento mediante los métodos del PCI y Windshiel Survey. Los resultados de la evaluación se categorizaron en cuatro grupos Buenos, Regulares, Pobres y Fallados y a partir de ello se propone realizar las alternativas de: Bacheo, Doble tratamiento superficial bituminoso, Recapeo y Reconstrucción respectivamente. Se utilizan las cadenas de transición de Márkov para predecir las condiciones futuras del pavimento, partiendo de la determinación de la condición actual y considerando la condición a la que se llegaría al implementar las alternativas de mantenimiento para correlacionarlo con el deterioro que tiene el pavimento. Lo anteriormente expuesto permitirá intervenir de manera oportuna con la alternativa de mantenimiento adecuada para mejorar el nivel de funcionalidad de la vía. |
