Abstract: | The parish Molleturo was created on 08 September of the year 1852 and is the biggest parish in canton Cuenca representing 36% of its surface which represents an extension of 132,349.04 hectares, it is located in the western Andean rage.
Its territory begins in the foothills of the Cajas National Park, specifically from the traffic control in Huagrahuma on the Cuenca-Molleturo Road km 34, until the exit on the coastal precinct of Tamarindo. It is surrounded by huge mountains, and this parish is characterized for having three climatic zones which gives rise to a wide range of agricultural products of different climates, ranging from products of the highland moor areas up to products from the coast.
The parish Molleturo also has a great diversity of natural and cultural attractions susceptible to tourism development. However, due to the lack of a tourist development plan to provide guidelines and development strategies, it has not been harnessed in the right way. That is why this project seeks to diagnose the tourist potential of the parish, making an uprising of the tourism attractions, analysis of supply and demand as to establish a set of planned activities, programs and projects, which, if executed properly, will strengthen the tourism activity in the parish. |
Description: | La parroquia Molleturo se encuentra ubicada en la cordillera occidental de los Andes, fue creada el 08 de septiembre del año 1852 y es la más grande del cantón Cuenca representando el 36% de su superficie lo que representa una extensión de 132.349,04 hectáreas.
Su territorio se inicia en las estribaciones del Parque Nacional Cajas concretamente desde el control vehicular de Huagrahuma en la carretera Cuenca-Molleturo km 34, hasta salir en la parte costanera del Recinto Tamarindo. Por estar rodeada de grandes montañas esta parroquia se caracteriza por contar con tres zonas climáticas lo que da origen a una gran variedad de productos agrícolas, que van desde productos de zonas del páramo hasta productos de la costa.
La parroquia Molleturo cuenta además con una gran diversidad de atractivos naturales y culturales susceptibles de aprovechamiento turístico. Sin embargo, por la carencia de un plan de desarrollo turístico que brinde pautas y estrategias de desarrollo estos no han sido aprovechados. Es por ello que el presente proyecto busca diagnosticar la potencialidad turística de la parroquia, realizando un levantamiento de atractivos turísticos, análisis de oferta y demanda para a partir de esto formular un conjunto planificado de actividades, programas y proyectos, que al ser ejecutados de manera adecuada potenciarán la actividad turística en el ámbito parroquial. |
