Abstract
The present research work aims to analyze the components involved in signaling for the Cajas National Park tourism development. It is based on the tourist signaling manuals in force management of protected natural areas of Ecuador.
The research work covers three chapters; the first one includes the introduction to tourist signaling, the background, classification, characteristics, role and importance. The second chapter deals with the tourist signs present in the Cajas National Park, general information of the area and its graphical elements; and the third chapter, refers to the elaboration of a proposal contributing to the improvement of the tourist signs of the protected area.
Resumen
La presente investigación tiene como finalidad analizar los componentes que intervienen en la señalización para el desarrollo turístico del Parque Nacional Cajas. Toma como base los manuales de señalización turística vigentes para la gestión de áreas naturales protegidas del Ecuador.
La investigación abarca tres capítulos; el primero comprende la introducción a la señalización turística, sus antecedentes, clasificación, características, función e importancia. El segundo capítulo aborda la señalización turística presente en el Parque Nacional Cajas, información general del área y sus elementos gráficos; y el tercer capítulo, referido a la elaboración de una propuesta que contribuya a la mejora de la señalización turística del área protegida en mención.
