Abstract

The objective of this work is to contribute with material that helps, somehow, the performers with the preparation on the Concerto for Marimba and String Orchestra through a formal analysis that can help us to discover the construction and the relationship of its sections in order to capture the sound, musical, and interpretative concept of the piece. On the other hand, with technical answers that can serve as a guide in the interpretative study of the concerto for marimba by Eric Ewazen.
