This research aspires to generate a new type of single-family housing by using several elements for its construction; elements totally different from conventional construction materials and finishing touches managed in the Azuay province of Ecuador. To carry out this project, a theoretical-graphic investigation of the different points covered by a dwelling is carried out, the study of the characteristics and specifications of the modules (containers) for their possible application as a new place to live, as well as the construction research with the new type of modules to be applied. This research is presented in the first chapter of this document. Likewise, a study is made of the existing regulations in the city of Cuenca, and the analysis of the place to intervene with the new building to be proposed, based on the study of three references that help identify possible solutions and generate new ideas, both in the volumetric spatial distribution of the house, as well as each of its interior spaces, and above all the needs of the future inhabitants that will define the type and form of integral design of the house. An optimal housing design proposal is generated by developing a project that provides solutions for each of the housing spaces distributed for a family with their needs and problems. The project will have each of the necessary specifications for easy project understanding (2D and 3D), as well as the final cost of the work in our environment.

El presente trabajo aspira a generar un nuevo tipo de vivienda unifamiliar al utilizar varios elementos para su edificación; elementos totalmente diferentes a los materiales convencionales de construcción y acabados manejados en la provincia del Azuay. Para llevar a cabo el proyecto se realiza una investigación teórica y gráfica de los diferentes puntos que abarca una vivienda, el estudio de las características y especificaciones de los módulos (containers) para su posible aplicación en una nueva volumetría para vivir, así como también la investigación de la construcción con el nuevo tipo de módulos a aplicar. Esta investigación está presente en el primer capítulo del trabajo. Así mismo se realiza un estudio de la normativa existente en la ciudad de Cuenca, y el análisis del espacio a intervenir con la nueva edificación a ser propuesta, con base en el estudio de tres referentes que ayudan a identificar posibles soluciones y generar nuevas ideas, tanto en la distribución espacial volumétrica de la vivienda así como cada uno de sus espacios interiores, y sobre todo las ecesidades de los futuros habitantes que definirán el tipo y forma de diseño integral de la vivienda. De esta manera se genera una propuesta óptima de diseño de vivienda, al desarrollar un proyecto destinado a una familia con sus necesidades y problemáticas planteadas para cada uno de los espacios distribuidos. El proyecto tendrá cada una de las especificaciones necesarias para su fácil comprensión proyectual (2D Y 3D), así como el coste final de la obra en nuestro medio
