| Abstract: | This thesis Project is an interior and espacial design proposal to intervene a vernacular architecture house belonging to Geordano Pesántez, which is located in San José, Chiquintad Parish in Cuenca. This idea meets the need to keep its original design and make it a living space. Once this goal is reached, it will be possible to avoid imminent destruction, as it has happened with other houses with similar features. In order to carry out
this project, our goal is to respect its surroundings and the architectural features of the place where it is located. The materials to be used in the intervention will also be suitable for that effect. This project is also a deep research on similar dwellings, an investigation on vernacular constructions, and the analysis of the current situation of Geordano Pesántez´s house. Responding to the expectations of the future dwellers of this house, one fragment of the book Don Quijote de la Mancha has been profoundly read to recall the general concept of the architecture of that time. | Description: | El proyecto de tesis presenta una propuesta de diseño espacial e interiorista, para la intervención de la casa de arquitectura vernácula, de propiedad de Don Geordano Pesántez, ubicada en el sector San José, de la
parroquia Chiquintad del cantón Cuenca. La idea nace de la necesidad de conservar y adecuar esta vivienda, con el fin de que pueda ser habitable y que sus elementos trasciendan en el tiempo, evitando así su eminente
destrucción, como ha sucedido anteriormente con otras viviendas de similares características. Para la elaboración de esta propuesta, se ha revisado el Plan de Ordenamiento Territorial del Cantón Cuenca, se
ha respetado el entorno y contexto arquitectónico de la zona, así como también el uso de materiales idóneos para su intervención. El presente trabajo expone, además, un estudio de homólogos, una investigación
sobre construcciones vernáculas y el análisis de la situación actual de la vivienda que será intervenida. La propuesta tiene su base en un fragmento de la novela “Don Quijote de la mancha”, de acuerdo con el interés de sus futuros habitantes, y se presenta a través de un concepto general, junto con los planos, renders, detalles constructivos y un presupuesto aproximado |
