Abstract:
In the following study reflects on the influence that television has in our environment and in other countries. We will review how you can influence the behavior of children from 4 to 5 years of age by spending too many hours watching television. Important research and conclusions reached by specialists will be remembered and some recommendations are made.
OBJECTIVE
Determine the influence of the time spent watching television on the behavior of children from 4 to 5 years of age in the Unidad Educativa del Milenio "Manuela Garaicoa de Calderon".
METHODOLOGY:
A prospective descriptive quantitative study was conducted in the period between October-December 2018 in the Manuela Garaicoa Millennium Education Unit of Calderon, obtaining information based on the application to children from 4 to 5 years of the item conduct disorder of the revised Conners scale and a self-administered form to the legal representatives, collecting the pertinent data for the investigation. The data obtained were tabulated in the IBM SPSS 18 Statistics software, analyzed and presented in tables, using the descriptive statistics.
RESULTS:
After analyzing the data obtained, it was found that of 100% of the population evaluated, 60% of the children scored to present a behavioral disorder.
Of 100% of the population evaluated, 45% of children watch television more than 3 hours a day and 27% watch 2 hours a day.
Of the 60% of children who scored to present conduct disorder, 40% watch more than three hours a day television and 16% watch two hours a day

En el siguiente estudio se reflexiona sobre la influencia que tiene la televisión en nuestro medio y en otros países. Revisaremos como se puede influenciar sobre la conducta de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años al dedicar demasiadas horas a mirar televisión. Se recordarán importantes investigaciones y conclusiones alcanzadas por especialistas y se plantea algunas recomendaciones.
OBJETIVO
Determinar la influencia del tiempo que dedican a mirar televisión sobre la conducta de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de edad en la Unidad Educativa del Milenio “Manuela Garaicoa de Calderón”.
MÉTODOS Y TÉCNICAS
Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo prospectivo descriptivo en el periodo comprendido entre Octubre-Diciembre del 2018 en la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Manuela Garaicoa de Calderón, obteniendo información en base a la aplicación a los niños/as de 4 a 5 años del ítem trastorno de conducta de la escala de Conners revisada y un formulario autoadministrada a los representantes legales, recolectando los datos pertinentes para la investigación. Los datos obtenidos fueron tabulados en el software IBM SPSS 18 Statistics, analizados y presentados en tablas, utilizando la estadística descriptiva.
RESULTADOS:
Luego de analizar los datos obtenidos se pudo constatar que del 100% de la población evaluada, el 60,6 % de los niños/as puntuaron positivo para presentar trastorno de conducta.
Del 100% de la población evaluada, el 45,5% de los niños/as miran televisión más de 3 horas diarias y el 26,2% mira 2 horas diarias.
Del 60,6% de los niños/as que puntuaron positivo para presentar trastorno de conducta, el 42,4% miran más de tres horas diarias televisión y el 17,2% mira dos horas diarias
