Propuesta para un Plan de Desarrollo Turístico en la parroquia Chorocopte, cantón Cañar, provincia del Cañar

Abstract

The Chorocopte parish is a rural area located at south of Cañar, framed in a geography highlighted by its elevations and water tributaries, it possesses an interesting landscape and strong cultural heritage granted by the Cañari people. It is located near the city of Cañar, which is constantly visited by national and foreign tourists who come interested in the most important archaeological tourist attraction in the country, the Ingapirca Castle. As Ingapirca is the main reason to visit, it’s pertinent to improve and take advantage of other resources of the canton to turn them into tourist attractions, increase the permanence of visits and expand the offer. The present Plan of tourist development for the Chorocopte parish, tries to contribute in the management to the Parochial Autonomous Decentralized Government of the territory through the use of the cultural and natural tourist resources that it possesses, the involvement of the inhabitants through the cooperative and socialized work; and at the same time, through the systematic application of strategic guidelines in short, medium and long term, the plan in the future is to convert the parish into a competitive tourist area that contributes to the tourist development of the canton and the province.
