Establecimiento de precios y propuesta de un sistema de cobro en el Centro de Diagnóstico de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad de Cuenca bajo la diferenciación de condiciones sociales que promueva el acceso de los grupos en condiciones de desventaja

Abstract

The main objective of this project is to determine the results of the services with greatest demand, both in the Clinical Laboratory and in the Acupuncture Center of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cuenca, in order to guarantee the sustainability of the center of diagnosis in the medium and long term. It`s concluded that the current prices handled by the center do not correspond to an allocation based on updated studies, it is even proven that in laboratory services the prices increase up to 30% while in acupuncture prices increase up to 60%.

To the first part, a deep investigation is complemented in the area of acupuncture, which allows the analysis of the behavior of the patients in relation to the number of attendances that received the respectful treatment, and in this way obtain an approximate "cycle cost" according to the characteristics of the users. It has been found that a group of patients are more tenacious with their recovery, which is why they attend more times to their acupuncture sessions, this is the main cause that the cost of treatment varies between $ 16,00 and $ 48,00 for male patients and between $ 24,00 and $ 72,00 for women.

The distinction of the main differences between the groups analyzed allows a proposal for a credit system that promotes access for vulnerable groups, and with it, the culmination of individual treatments that guarantees a significant improvement in their health.
