Abstract: | Introduction: female sexual dysfunction (FSD), can affect women in any age group, however, it has been evidenced in the literature that in the menopausal state and posteriori these figures amount to 60%, an alarming figure since this condition tends to affect multiple areas of the individual, in turn deteriorating their lifestyle and their relationship with the social environment.
Objective: to determine the prevalence of DSF and associated factors during the menopausal and postmenopausal transition, external consultation of gynecology in the Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga 2017-2018.
Materials and methods: a cross-sectional, analytical study, in 256 women in the transition period between menopause and postmenopause, the validated survey Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) was used, consisting of 19 questions, with DSF defined with an index score. of 26.55 or less, in the same way the affectation by domains was calculated, the results were expressed in tables specifying count and percentage, all the data were analyzed by means of the statistical program SPSS in its version 19.
Results: the prevalence of DSF was 37.1%, the most affected domain was satisfaction with 48.8%, urban residence was a risk factor for DSF in contrast to the level of instruction under which it was reported as a protective factor, with respect to the domains it was evident that being younger than 50 years was a risk factor for the affectation of the desire domain as well as menopause, similar behavior with respect to the age group and the excitation domain, for this dominance the protective factor was having children and diabetes was a risk factor for the pain domain condition.
Conclusions: DSF and its domains were associated to be less than 50 years old, urban residence, higher educational level, diabetes, menopause and children |
Description: | Introducción: La disfunción sexual femenina (DSF), puede afectar a las mujeres en cualquier grupo etario, sin embargo, se ha evidenciado en la bibliografía que en el estado menopaúsico y a posteriori estas cifras ascienden el 60%, cifra alarmante ya que esta condición tiende a afectar múltiples ámbitos de la mujer.
Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de DSF y factores asociados durante la transición menopaúsica y posmenopáusica, consulta externa de ginecología en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga 2017-2018.
Materiales y métodos: Estudio en 256 mujeres en el período de transición entre menopausia y posmenopausia, se utilizó la encuesta validada “Índice de la función sexual femenina (FSFI), constando de 19 preguntas, definiéndose DSF con un puntaje del índice de 26,55 o menos, de igual manera se calculó la afectación por dominios, los resultados fueron expresados en tablas especificando recuento y porcentaje se utilizaron tablas de 2x2 obteniéndose el Chi2, IC y valor P todos los datos fueron analizados mediante el programa estadístico SPSS en su versión 19.
Resultados: La prevalencia de DSF fue de 37,1%, el dominio más afectado fue el de satisfacción con un 48,8%, la residencia urbana fue un factor de riesgo para DSF en contraste al nivel de instrucción bajo el cual se reportó como un factor protector, con respecto a los dominios se evidenció que ser menor de 50 años fue un factor de riesgo.
Conclusiones: Se asoció DSF y sus dominios, con una edad menor de 50 años, residencia urbana, nivel educativo superior, diabetes, menopausia e hijos |
