Abstract
The present paper focuses on explaining participation and community management from a Community Social Work perspective.
In chapter I, addresses the concepts of Social Participation, Community Management and Community Social Work definition. Thus, we start with a general definition and its features, the participation levels and the relationship between the above concepts.
In chapter II, describes the tools of social participation and their importance. Also, specifies the importance of the application of the Participatory Diagnosis at the time of intervening in the com-munities, the tools of participation along with the participative diagnosis allow the professional to determine the cause of the needs and problems and analyze the reality in a critical and objective.
Finally, chapter III focuses on the agents that enhance social participation. Moreover, it explains why each of them is important within the communities and organizations. Last, we describe the in-tervention models that guide the Community Social Worker professional practice
Resumen
La presente monografía está enfocada en analizar la participación y gestión comunitaria desde la perspectiva del Trabajo Social Comunitario.
El Capítulo I, aborda los conceptos de Participación Social, Gestión comunitaria y Trabajo Social Comunitario, iniciando con cada una de sus definiciones, términos generales, características conclu-yendo con niveles de participación relacionando cada uno de los conceptos.
En el Capítulo II, describe las herramientas de participación social y la importancia de la apli-cación en la intervención de Trabajo Social, especifica lo sustancial del Diagnostico participativo al intervenir en las comunidades ya que permiten al profesional determinar las causas de las necesida-des y problemas forma crítica y objetiva.
Finalmente, el Capítulo III, explica los factores que permiten potenciar la participación so-cial, el impacto que tiene dentro de las comunidades u organizaciones y por último la descripción de los modelos de intervención lo cual guían la práctica profesional del Trabajador Social Comunitario
