Abstract: | Background: OA will be the fourth cause of disability in 2020, one of the most effective treatments is hip arthroplasty, it is necessary to know the functionality and quality of life in relation to the health that people reach after this surgery, the scales most appropriate for your study are Harris Hip Score and the SF-36.
Objective: To evaluate the functionality and quality of life in patients after total hip arthroplasty due to coxarthrosis.
Methodology: Longitudinal, prospective, descriptive study. A population of 30 individuals was evaluated, a baseline and final score was obtained at the third month of evolution, the participants were classified according to demographic characteristics, functionality and quality of life were evaluated and described in relation to health. The interpretation of the data was through the SPSS Software version 24.
Results: At the third month of follow-up the Harris Hip Score showed 70% of patients with good functionality and the SF-36 showed improvement in all its dimensions, although the physical function obtained a more significant score.
Conclusion: In general, the functional capacity and quality of life of patients improves after a hip arthroplasty. |
Description: | Antecedentes: La artrosis será la cuarta causa de discapacidad en 2020, uno de los tratamientos más efectivos es la artroplastia de cadera, es necesario conocer la funcionalidad y calidad de vida en relación con la salud que alcanzan las personas luego de esta cirugía, las escalas más apropiadas para su estudio son Harris Hip Score y el SF-36.
Objetivo general: Evaluar la funcionalidad y calidad de vida en pacientes post artroplastia total de cadera por coxartrosis.
Metodología: Estudio de tipo longitudinal, prospectivo, descriptivo. Se evaluó una población de 30 individuos, se obtuvo un puntaje basal y final al tercer mes de evolución, se clasificó a los participantes según características demográficas, se evaluó y describió la funcionalidad y calidad de vida en relación con la salud. La interpretación de los datos fue mediante el Software SPSS versión 24.
Resultados: Al tercer mes de seguimiento la Harris Hip Score mostro un 70% de pacientes con funcionalidad buena y la SF-36 arrojo mejorías en todas sus dimensiones, aunque la función física obtuvo puntaje más significativo.
Conclusión: En general la capacidad funcional y la calidad de vida de los pacientes mejoran tras una artroplastia de cadera |
