Plan de gestión turística para el Museo de la Casa de la Cultura Núcleo del Azuay, “Manuel Agustín Landivar” de la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

The "Manuel Agustín Landívar" museum belongs to the Casa de la Cultura Núcleo del Azuay. In its interior pieces of the Cañari, Inca and Spanish cultures are exhibited which are related with the archaeological site Todos Santos that is also part of the institution. This Museum does not have a tourism management plan; therefore, it is necessary to create one, due to the importance of the museums as attractions for Cultural Tourism that takes place in the city of Cuenca The objective of this intervention project is to create a tourism management plan for the Museum for which information has been raised through interviews, surveys, direct observation and bibliographical research. This information was used to create a problem and preference ranking, pondered SWOT, life cycle, profile of the current visitor and the writing of information on approach to the theme and diagnosis of the Museum. Finally, the third chapter proposes strategies for solving problems that have been found during the development of the project, as well as the general and specific objectives, and a portfolio that contains programs, projects and activities to be carried out to reach the objectives.
