Abstract
Since Cuenca was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the responsibility for conserving it has taken a great importance in the institutions in charge of protecting it. The high presence of wood in buildings with architectural value, deserves special attention, especially in the actions taken in its rehabilitation. The present work presents a methodological proposal for the diagnosis and intervention of pathologies identified as recurrent, in 15 heritage buildings located in the historical center of the city. The study is aimed at constructions with structure and finishes in wood and their vulnerability to both biotic and abiotic attacks. In addition, the methodology may serve other similar properties, which regulate the processes and guarantee interventions in the built heritage.
Resumen
Desde que Cuenca fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, la responsabilidad por conservar el patrimonio ha tomado gran relevancia en las instituciones encargadas de proteger el mismo. La alta presencia de madera en edificaciones con valor histórico, merece especial atención sobre todo en las acciones que se toman para su rehabilitación y conservación. El presente trabajo plantea una propuesta metodológica para el diagnóstico e intervención de las patologías identificadas como recurrentes en el análisis de 15 edificaciones patrimoniales ubicadas en el centro histórico de Cuenca. El estudio está dirigido a la conservación de edificaciones patrimoniales con estructura y terminaciones en madera y a su vulnerabilidad ante ataques tanto bióticos como abióticos. Además, la metodología podrá servir a otros inmuebles de carácter similar que regule los procesos y garanticen las intervenciones en el patrimonio edificado.
