| Abstract: | During life, people need to be in continuous learning, however, there are stages in which such learning must be adapted to the circumstances and age. Technologically, there are many tools to transmit knowledge, but these tools have not been focused on the elderly people. From this perspective, it is necessary to develop methodologies that, through technology, include this group for learning.
In this sense, the present document focuses on the creation of a method for the construction of MOOC focused on the elderly, called Massive Open Online Courses for Elderly People (MOOCEP). This methodology seeks to build digital learning environments using andragogical techniques and strategies for learning of the elderly population; as well as accessibility directed to the elderly, with the aim of providing users with a better user experience when using these tools during learning.
In the same way, in order to empirically validate MOOCs which were built using MOOCEP, an experiment has been carried out with the aim of analyze MOOC perceptions in elder people, from which promising results have been obtained when the products developed were tested by users as opposed to traditional teaching techniques and their daily knowledge. |
| Description: | Las personas durante la vida, necesitamos estar en un continuo aprendizaje; sin embargo, tenemos etapas en las cuales dicho aprendizaje debe ser adaptado a las circunstancias y a la edad. Tecnológicamente, existen muchas herramientas que permiten transmitir conocimiento, pero estas herramientas no han sido enfocadas al adulto mayor. Desde esta perspectiva, se hace necesario la elaboración de metodologías que incluyan a este grupo dentro del aprendizaje a través de la tecnología.
En este sentido, el presente trabajo de titulación se centra en la creación de un método para la construcción de MOOC enfocados al adulto mayor, denominado Massive Open Online Courses for Elderly People (MOOCEP). Esta metodología busca construir ambientes de aprendizaje digitales haciendo uso de técnicas y estrategias andragógicas para el aprendizaje del adulto mayor; así como también de criterios de accesibilidad dirigidas hacia adultos mayores, con el objetivo de dotar a los usuarios de una mejor experiencia de uso al momento de usar estas herramientas durante el aprendizaje.
De la misma manera, con el fin de validar empíricamente los MOOC construidos usando MOOCEP, se ha realizado un experimento con el objetivo de analizar las percepciones del MOOC en los adultos mayores; del cual se han obtenido resultados promisorios al momento en que los productos desarrollados han sido utilizados por parte de los usuarios frente a técnicas tradicionales de enseñanza y a su conocimiento cotidiano. |
