| Abstract: | This graduation project is the
construction of a fontset based on the
main features of typography lettering that
was used in the Central Bank of Ecuador
in its branch in Cuenca, the aim is to build
on its main typographic features, in order
to give a more contemporary or modern
to this source, that despite the years has
retained its typography in its main facades
aspect, as is in the case of Guayaquil and
Cuenca. The project seeks to contribute
particularly in the field of creating
typography, so that they can use Artists,
Designers and even the Central Bank.
For the realization of this project it
is essential to know all the basics that
encompasses the field of typography,
to differentiate their personality in
typography, as was the reason for his
success as typeface and interpret its
typographic anatomy to offer a new
source. Once all the knowledge of the
source is obtained and the necessary data
is collected to start a process of redesign,
you can proceed with the typography, the
concept will be, able to offer the public
a new design of letters with one aspect
different and fresh from the letters used
by this institution |
| Description: | El presente proyecto de graduación,
se trata de la construcción de un set
tipográfico basado en los principales
rasgos de la tipografía de rotulación que
se usó en el Banco Central del Ecuador
en su sucursal de Cuenca, El objetivo es
basarse en sus principales características
tipográficas, con el fin de darle un aspecto
más contemporáneo o moderno a esta
fuente, que, a pesar de los años sigue
conservando su tipografía en sus fachadas
principales, como lo es en el caso de
Guayaquil y Cuenca. El proyecto busca
aportar sobre todo en el campo de creación
de tipografía, de tal manera que lo pueden
utilizar Artistas, Diseñadores y hasta el
mismo Banco Central.
Para la realización de esta construcción
tipográfica es esencial conocer todos los
conceptos básicos que engloba el campo
de la tipografía, saber diferenciar su
personalidad dentro de la tipografía, ya
que fue el motivo de su éxito como fuente
tipográfica y saber interpretar su anatomía
para poder ofrecer una nueva fuente. Una
vez que se obtenga todo el conocimiento
de dicha fuente y se recopile los datos
necesarios para iniciar con un proceso de
rediseño, se puede proceder a realizar la
tipografía, cuyo concepto será, el poder
ofrecer al público un nuevo diseño de letras
con un aspecto diferente y fresco a partir
de las letras utilizadas por esta institución. |
