| Abstract: | Background: The positive and negative effects of the emigration of the parents on the affectivity of the adolescents, as well as the relation with the familiar functionality are phenomena scarcely studied because their evidence is scarce. Identifying their relationship will allow the creation of new studies to achieve alternatives to this situation.
Objectives: To determine the positive and negative effects of parents' emigration on the affectivity as well as the family functionality of the adolescents enrolled in the Chiquintad parish, Cuenca, Azuay province.
Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional, quantitative, epidemiological study was carried out with a universe of 870 adolescents enrolled in the educational units of the Chiquintad parish in 2015. The sample consisted of 218 adolescents. This study described the characteristics of the population and related the emigration of the parents with positive and negative affects of adolescents and family functionality.
Results: The emigration of parents is 28.4% of the total sample of adolescents. Those who have emigrated with the eldest son of the frequency with the father and mother with 50% and the emigration of the mother with the lowest frequency with 1.7%. Positive affectivity is more frequent with 71.1%, while low negative affectivity is the least frequent with 27.1%. Functional families were more frequent with 46.6% and severely dysfunctional families less frequent with 8.6%.
Conclusions: There is an association between the emigration of the parents with the positive and negative affects of the adolescents as well as the family functionality |
| Description: | Antecedentes: Los efectos positivos y negativos que produce la emigración de los progenitores en la afectividad de los adolescentes, así como la relación con la funcionalidad familiar son fenómenos escasamente estudiados por lo su evidencia es escasa. Identificar su relación permitirá crear nuevos estudios para lograr alternativas a esta situación.
Objetivo general: Determinar los efectos positivos y negativos de la emigración de los progenitores en la afectividad así como la funcionalidad familiar de los adolescentes escolarizados de la parroquia Chiquintad, Cuenca, provincia del Azuay.
Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó un Estudio, epidemiológico, cuantitativo de corte transversal con un universo de 870 adolescentes matriculados en las unidades educativas de la parroquia Chiquintad en el año 2015; la muestra estuvo conformada por 218 adolescentes. En este estudio se describió las características de la población y se relacionó la emigración de los progenitores con los afectos positivos y negativos de los adolescentes y en la funcionalidad familiar.
Resultados: La emigración de los progenitores fue del 28,4%. Quienes han emigrado con mayor frecuencia son el padre y madre con un 50% y la emigración de la madre es de menor frecuencia con un 1,7%. La afectividad positiva alta fue 71,1%, mientras que la afectividad negativa baja es la menos frecuente con un 27,1%. Las familias funcionales son más frecuentes con un 46,7% y las familias severamente disfuncionales fueron el 8,6%.
Conclusiones: Existe asociación entre la emigración de los progenitores con los afectos positivos y negativos de los adolescentes así con la funcionalidad familiar |
