| Abstract: | Currently coexist in the global food system distinct needs. A sector demand food for consumption mass while other sector demand food with traits qualitative differential. There are many views about the best system of production, whereas the conventional as extremely polluting system, but necessary and how-friendly but unprofitable agro-ecological system.
In this context is develops the present study in which is used a design experimental of blocks to the random to evaluate two systems of production of lettuce: conventional and agroecological taking as variable of them plants, the weight, height and diameter, to assess them through an analysis of variance, that showed significance in them lettuce of the system agroecological with a diameter of 0, 42 cm and a height of 0, 17 cm , while in weight the conventional system was significant with 1, 98lb.
We also evaluated the nutritional composition of lettuce through bromatologic analysis whose results show that; in humidity, matter dry, fat, ash and elements not nitrogen, not exist differences significant among them treatments in study, but in proteins and fiber the lettuce of the treatment agroecological is significant.
In surveys conducted for the test of palatividad and preferences, outcomes defined agroecological lettuces are acceptable taste and visually are preferred by consumers.
The study also includes the calculation of the cost benefit of crops resulting in a net profit by has from $5.539,24 to $6.801,67 for the agro-ecological system and the conventional system |
| Description: | En la actualidad conviven en el sistema alimentario mundial necesidades claramente diferenciadas. Un sector demanda alimentos de consumo masivo mientras que otro sector demanda alimentos con rasgos cualitativos diferenciales. Existiendo muchos criterios acerca del mejor sistema de producción, considerando al sistema convencional como extremadamente contaminante, pero necesario y al sistema agroecológico como amigable con el ambiente, pero poco rentable.
En este contexto se desarrolla el presente estudio en el cual se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar para evaluar dos sistemas de producción de lechuga: Convencional y agroecológico tomando como variables de las plantas, el peso, altura y diámetro, para evaluarlos mediante un análisis de varianza, que demostró significancia en las lechugas del sistema agroecológico con un diámetro de 0,42cm y una altura de 0,17cm, mientras que en peso el sistema convencional fue significativo con 1,98 lb.
Se evaluó también la composición nutricional de las lechugas mediante el análisis bromatológico cuyos resultados demuestran que; en humedad, materia seca, grasa, cenizas y elementos no nitrogenados, no existen diferencias significativas entre los tratamientos en estudio, pero en proteínas y fibra la lechuga del tratamiento agroecológico es significativo.
En las encuestas realizadas para la prueba de palatividad y preferencias, los resultados definen que las lechugas agroecológicas tienen un sabor aceptable y visualmente son de preferencia por consumidores.
El estudio contempla también el cálculo de la relación costo beneficio de los cultivos dando como resultado un beneficio neto/ha de $5.539,24 para el sistema convencional y $6.801,67 para el sistema agroecológico |
