| Abstract: | Antecedents: In Guapán the total of adolescents was of 2.011according to the National Institute of statistics and census (2016). The adolescence is a changing process, being sexuality part of this change with a strong incidence in sexual conduct; one of the problems in our country is sexuality at an early stage. Studies done by the European Union in Latin America (2012), show that sexual relations start at the age of 14 for women and 15 for men.
Objective: the following studies show the knowledge on sexuality and the time sexuality begin at the Guapán Azogues high school 2016.
Methods and Materials: a quantitative and descriptive investigation was done in high school. There were in total 562 students. From 159 high school students only 133 students participated, the information obtained in the form that was validated by the authors. The information was entered in the statistic software SPSS for windows 18.0 processed for its tabulation and presented by descriptive panels with a universal analysis of the corresponding percentages.
Results: It was determined that 115 (86,5%) of students had a middle, 9 (6,8%) a high, and 9 (6,8%)a low knowledge of sexuality. Obtaining in the biological dimension a 33,83% and psycho-cultural a 17,9%. The average age that sexual relations starts at 14 years for men and 16 for women.
Conclusion: the majority of adolescents have a middle level knowledge, even though it continue being insufficient. The age that sexual relations begin is at the age of 14 with the exception of 6, 3% corresponding to the age of 8 years old |
| Description: | Antecedentes: en Guapán el total de adolescentes fue de 2.011 según el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo (2010). La adolescencia es un proceso de cambios siendo la sexualidad parte de esta con una fuerte incidencia en la conducta sexual; uno de los problemas en nuestro país es la sexualidad precoz. Estudios realizados por la Unión Europea en Latinoamérica (2012), indican que la edad promedio de inicio de relaciones sexuales es de 14 años para mujeres y 15 para varones.
Objetivo: el presente estudio determinó el conocimiento sobre sexualidad e inicio de relaciones sexuales en la Unidad Educativa Guapán Azogues 2016.
Material y Métodos: se realizó una investigación cuantitativa descriptiva de corte transversal, el universo estuvo constituido por 562 estudiantes, la muestra inicial fue de 159 adolescentes de bachillerato pero solo participaron 133, los datos se obtuvieron mediante la aplicación de un formulario validado por las autoras. La información fue ingresada en el software estadístico SPSS para WINDOWS 18.0, procesada para su tabulación y presentación mediante tablas descriptivas con un análisis universal de los correspondientes porcentajes.
Resultados: Se determinó que 115(86,5%) estudiantes tienen conocimiento medio, 9 (6,8%) alto y 9 (6,8%) bajo. Obtuvieron en la dimensión biológica un 33,83% y psico-sociocultural un 17,9%. La edad promedio de inicio de relaciones sexuales fue hombres 14 años y mujeres 16 años.
Conclusión: la mayoría de adolescentes tiene un nivel medio de conocimientos, sin embargo estos siguen siendo insuficientes. La edad de inicio de relaciones sexuales es de 14 años, con la excepción del 6,3% que corresponde a los 8 años |
