| Abstract: | Background: Throughout the history of technology has become an increasingly important need, so that today most people have different technological devices that help in all time; the most vulnerable groups when acquiring these devices are people young.
Objective: determine the health risks from the use of cell phones, computers and tablets in adolescents of the “Educative Unit Fray Vicente Solano” - Cuenca 2016.
Methodology: This was done with a quantitative descriptive study. Making an inclusion and exclusion criteria, worked with a sample of 313 adolescents. The instrument of data collection was a survey conducted by reference to two studies in Brazil and Spain; this instrument underwent pilot testing in a population of similar characteristics for its respective validation.
For the analysis was necessary a database it was created through SPSS using frequency tablets and percentages; as statistics, means. Getting standard deviation.
Results: The study population consisted mostly of men with 9.2% higher than women, with an average age of 16.05 years; the signs and more frequent visual symptoms were present: sensitivity to light 14.4% and headache 10.5%. As for signs and symptoms musculoskeletal: 17.5% back pain and neck pain 13.3% was obtained.
Conclusions: In the present study, the population significantly alterations was found in the ocular system and the musculoskeletal, that one way or another these alter their physical and psychosocial well- being |
| Description: | Antecedentes: La tecnología se ha convertido en una necesidad cada vez más importante, pues hoy en día la mayoría de las personas disponen de diferentes aparatos tecnológicos siendo los adolescentes la población más vulnerable en la adquisición de estos aparatos.
Objetivo: Determinar los riesgos en la salud por el uso de celulares, computadoras y tablets en los adolescentes de la Unidad Educativa “Fray Vicente Solano” - Cuenca 2016.
Metodología: Trató de un estudio descriptivo observacional de tipo cuantitativo; se trabajó con una muestra de 313 adolescentes. El instrumento utilizado fue una encuesta elaborada tomando como referencia estudios realizados en Brasil y España, éste fue sometido a prueba piloto. Para el análisis de los datos se creó una base de datos a través del paquete estadístico SPSS utilizando tablas de frecuencia y porcentaje.
Resultados: la población estudiada estuvo conformada en su mayoría por hombres con un 9,2% superior a las mujeres, con una edad media de 16,05 años; los signos y síntomas visuales más frecuentes fueron: la sensibilidad a la luz presente en un 14,4%, cefalea en un 10,5%. En cuanto a signos y síntomas musculoesqueléticos se obtuvo el 17,5% dolor de espalda y el 13,3% dolor de cuello.
Conclusiones: se encontró presente alteraciones en el sistema ocular así como en el músculoesquelético, que de una u otra forma alteran el bienestar físico y psicosocial |
