Eficacia de dos tratamientos propoleo 10 % y amitraz 3% en pacientes caninos con demodicosis

Abstract

The research is related to the field of canine demodicosis, this being one of the most serious and rebellious to all treatment processes, which is why this investigation was the conducted in order to diagnose patients in five veterinary clinics city Loja, using two treatments and evaluating their effectiveness through skin scrapings. We worked with fifty patients of which twenty five were treated with propolis and twenty five with amitraz ten of these patients correspond to each of the clinics. The analysis of samples it took place in the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory of the National University of Loja, where they made direct skin scrapings to check their evolution, these measurements are performed them every two weeks. The information is then Tabulo with positives, negative and the degree of infestation data dermatological variables such as healing and type of treatments performed were considered. For information processing test statistic called Mann Whitney U was used. From the results obtained have been compared with the number of crossings that have been reduced in the two groups and found that there are difference after the first intervention p<0,01 as the group of propolis reduces an average of 2,12 crosses 1.48 while the group only reduces amitraz 0,48 crosses 1.0.
