El ejercicio de los derechos humanos de los refugiados Colombianos adultos en la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

This research has as its main objective; the enforcement of the Human Rights of Colombian Refugees in the city of Cuenca, a field study was conducted through focus groups of men and women, in order to determine the current situation of the population in need of international protection, as regards the effective exercise of their rights. A study was conducted in depth both national legislation as well as international force to protect the refugee population. This work is aimed at analyzing the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, and what are the legal and social effects if constantly doing violence rights of this population are. Besides the causes that forced the refugees to leave their country of origin it was studied and how the Ecuadorian government is protecting and guaranteeing the exercise of fundamental human rights of that population. In addition, surveys were conducted to officials of the Directorate of Refuge, UNHCR and CorporaciónMujer a Mujer, to know and understand what their mission and work with regard to the issue of shelter, and what is the help that these institutions provide for the integration of the refugee population in the host society.
