Abstract: | Background: studies on HPV worldwide are estimated that the global annual incidence of this disease is more than 500 000 cases, about 50% of them fatal. Taking place deaths by 80% in developing countries.
Objective: determine the information and attitudes that students have the 5th and 6th course College Abelardo Tamariz Crespo on human papillomavirus during the period from October to March 2016.
Methodology: The research was quantified, descriptive and transversal, the same as was done in the educational unit Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, the universe of study is a total of 50 students and as an instrument used for data collection was a survey the students. Results are expressed through quantitative statistics, using SPSS and Microsoft Excel.
Results: In the investigation it was found that of the 50 students, 14% always have coital sex, 86% know the means of transmission and 40% use the male condom either as contraception and / or barrier means .
Conclusion: adolescent College Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, he has an average knowledge about Human Papillomavirus, their ways of contagion and methods to prevent it, so it is important to integrate more topics of sex education, more training for teachers so that they in turn can address the issue without difficulty, without creating cultural stereotypes, social, or religious |
Description: | Antecedentes. Estudios realizados sobre el VPH a nivel mundial se estima que la incidencia anual mundial de esta patología es de más de 500 000 casos, alrededor de un 50 % de ellos mortales. Teniendo lugar las muertes en un 80 % en los países en vías de desarrollo (1).
Objetivo general: determinar la información y actitudes que tienen las estudiantes de 5to y 6to curso del Colegio Abelardo Tamariz Crespo sobre el virus papiloma humano durante el periodo octubre - marzo del 2016.
Metodología: la investigación fue cuantifica, descriptiva y de tipo transversal, la misma que se realizó en la unidad educativa Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, con un universo de 50 estudiantes y como instrumento se utilizó una encuesta realizada por las autoras de la tesis. Los resultados se expresan a través de tablas estadísticas, utilizando el programa SPSS y Microsoft Excel.
Resultados: en la investigación se encontró que de los 50 estudiantes, el 14% tienen siempre relaciones sexuales coitales, el 86% conocen los medios de transmisión y el 40% usan el preservativo masculino ya sea como método anticonceptivo y/o como medio de barrera.
Conclusión: las adolescentes del Colegio Abelardo Tamariz Crespo, tiene un conocimiento medio acerca de Virus del Papiloma Humano, sus maneras de contagio y los métodos para prevenir el mismo, por lo que es importante integrar más temas de educación sexual, con mayor capacitación de docentes, para que estos a su vez puedan abordar el tema sin dificultad, sin crear estereotipos culturales, sociales, ni religiosos |
