Factores predisponentes para la desnutrición en adultos jubilados del IESS Cuenca, enero - junio 2016

Abstract

The research entitled "Factors predisposing to malnutrition in adults IESS retired Cuenca, January-June 2016" was held with the aim of analyzing the predisposing factors for malnutrition in adults IESS retired Cuenca, from January to June 2016. The methodology used was quali-quantitative descriptive and the sample consisted of 90 seniors. The questionnaire Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) was applied to determine the nutritional status of elderly retirees. The data were analyzed in SPSS by performing frequency tables and percentages to describe the information found. The main conclusion was obtained that the IESS retired seniors in the city of Cuenca experience mostly at risk of malnutrition. So it is recommended to implement care programs specializing in targeted nutrition to elderly retirees and their families to provide information to help prevent malnutrition, systematically perform assessment of nutritional status of the elderly retirees who stick at Hospital "José Carrasco Arteaga "IESS to prevent malnutrition in these states and socialize the results of research staff Hospital" José Carrasco Arteaga "IESS serving elderly retirees to make them aware about the nutritional status of this population.
