| Abstract: | The research "Evaluation of dose application of a biol optimized in a growing carrot (Daucus carota L.)" was held in the town of Octavio Cordero Palacios - Cuenca - Azuay, its objective was to determine the optimal dose of application of a biol enhanced by Bernal & Rojas, (2014) on the production of organic cultivation of carrots.The biol was evaluated with four doses of application (T1: 40 ml/m2, T2: 20 ml/m2, T3: 10 ml/m2 y T4: 5 ml/m2) in front of chemical fertilization (T5) and an absolute observer (T6), in a random design of blocks (DBA) which concluded in 6 treatments and 4 replications. At the end, 24 experimental units were obtained. With the outcome for the variables, height and number of leaves, during 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after sowing, the treatment T2 has presented significantly higher values compared to the other treatments. By evaluating the efficiency of the plant, incidence of (Alternative sp., Agrotis sp), the length of the roots, we have determined that there is no a significant difference between the other treatments. For the variable diameter of the root, the treatment T5 has presented a value statistically significant than other treatments. The results for the total yield and commercial yield, has specified that the treatments T1 and T2 presented the highest value, with the total production (63,68 t/ha y 61,44 t/ha), and a commercial production (52,59 t/ha y 51,15 t/ha) individually. Profitability analysis has been executed, in which it was determined that T1 and T2 treatments showed higher values in relation B/C (1, 99$ y 1, 98$).

| Description: | El trabajo de investigación, Evaluación de dosis de aplicación de un biol optimizado en el cultivo de Zanahoria (Daucus carota L.), se realizó en la parroquia Octavio Cordero Palacios - Cuenca - Azuay, su objetivo fue determinar la dosis óptima de aplicación de un biol optimizado por Bernal & Rojas, (2014) sobre la producción del cultivo orgánico de zanahoria. Se evalúo el biol con cuatro dosis de aplicación (T1: 40 ml/m2, T2: 20 ml/m2, T3: 10 ml/m2 y T4: 5 ml/m2) frente a la fertilización química (T5) y un testigo absoluto (T6), en un Diseño de Bloques al Azar (DBA), totalizaron 6 tratamientos y 4 repeticiones, se obtuvieron 24 unidades experimentales. Los resultados indican que para las variables, altura y número de hojas, a los 30, 60, 90 y 120 días tras la siembra, el tratamiento T2 presentó valores significativamente mayores en comparación con los demás tratamientos. Al evaluar las variables, vigor de las plantas, incidencia de (Alternaria sp. Agrotis sp.), longitud de las raíces, se determinó que no existieron diferencias significativas entre los tratamientos. Para la variable diámetro de la raíz, el tratamiento T5 presentó un valor estadísticamente significativo que los demás tratamientos. Los resultados para el rendimiento total y rendimiento comercial, indica que los tratamientos T1 y T2 presentaron valores más altos, con una producción total (63,68 t/ha y 61,44 t/ha), y una producción comercial (52,59 t/ha y 51,15 t/ha) respectivamente. Se realizó el análisis de rentabilidad, en la cual se determinó que los tratamientos T1 y T2 presentaron los valores más altos con relación B/C (1,99$ y 1,98$).
