| Abstract: | Introduction
Premature rupture of membranes happens in 8% of pregnancies to term and 30-40% of preterm. The consequences of this disease are very serious for both mother and the product of pregnancy.
Objective
Determine the effectiveness of AmniSure © compared to Crystallography for diagnosing subclinical Premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women attending hospitals Vicente Corral Moscoso and José Carrasco Arteaga during 2014-2015.
Material and methods
Diagnostic test validation was performed in 130 patients. The sample size was calculated with the sensitivity of 97% for AmniSure © and 84% of crystallography, and the McNemar test was applied. The data were obtained by direct interview, and analyzed with SPSS version 15 software.
Results
The minimum age was 13 years, the maximum 40 and the median 25. The median gestational age of 36 weeks. 43.8% had rupture of membranes before 37 weeks gestation, and 56.2% between 37 and 42. 14.6% had a previous diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes. © AmniSure sensitivity was 89%, specificity 78%, the positive likelihood ratio 41.4%, the negative likelihood ratio 14%, 53% positive predictive value and negative predictive value 96%.
Conclusion
The AmniSure © is a valid test for the diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes |

La Ruptura prematura de membranas sucede en el 8% de los embarazos a término y el 30 a 40% de los, pretérmino. Las consecuencias de esta patología son muy serias, tanto para la madre como para el producto.
Objetivo
Determinar la eficacia del AmniSure© en comparación con la Cristalografía para el diagnóstico de Ruptura prematura de membranas subclínica en las gestantes que acudieron a los hospitales Vicente Corral Moscoso y José Carrasco Arteaga, durante el 2014-2015.
Material y métodos
Se realizó una validación de prueba diagnóstica en 130 pacientes. El tamaño de la muestra se calculó con la sensibilidad del 97% para el AmniSure© y el del 84% de la Cristalografía, y se aplicó la prueba de McNemar. Los datos se obtuvieron por entrevista directa, y se analizó con el Software SPSS versión 15.
Resultados
La edad mínima fue 13 años, la máxima 40 y la mediana 25. La mediana de edad gestacional, 36 semanas. El 43,8% tuvieron Ruptura de membranas antes de las 37 semanas de gestación, y el 56,2% entre las 37 y 42. El 14,6% tenían diagnóstico previo de Ruptura prematura de membranas. La sensibilidad del AmniSure© fue 89%, la especificidad 78%, el coeficiente de probabilidad positivo 41,4%, el coeficiente de probabilidad negativo 14%, el valor predictivo positivo 53% y valor predictivo negativo 96%.
Conclusión
El AmniSure© es una prueba válida para diagnóstico de Ruptura prematura de membranas |
