Los festivales de música y su aporte a la actividad turística en la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

This work researches about the current state of music festivals in the city of Cuenca analyzed from the perspective that leisure tourism has increased because people from all over the world are interested music festivals.

They help to boost tourism activity in the city with the arrival of people who want to satisfy their need of various music festivals and events characterized by having numerous cultural events lasting from some hours to one day and in some cases a few days in one to several places, demonstrating the art of music through ensuring the enjoyment of culture and its components in conditions of equality, human dignity and non-discrimination.

It is noteworthy that there is an interest in encouraging cultural tourism of the city of Cuenca without causing a negative impact and provide living spaces that provide equity and improving the quality of life for residents. Therefore the analysis is aimed to demonstrate the importance of these music festivals through a statistical study focused on tourist profile coming to attend these events in the city, which is an advantage for local tourism establishments.
