Abstract: | Antecedents: Is very important to value that student's knowledge about human papillomavirus because the sexually active adolescents will be with the highest probability to acquire an infection by the human papillomavirus.
Objective: Determine knowledge, attitudes and practices about human papilloma virus in the high school students of Javeriano School, of parish Sayausí. Cuenca, 2015
Methodology: The research was quantitative descriptive, which allowed us to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices about HPV on teenagers. We work with a finite universe of 160 students, which correspond to the entire population of high school. We applied a survey and validated by the authors as it has not found a validated test for the human papillomavirus for teens. The obtained data were processed and analyzed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SPS version 21 statistical tables and analyzed.
Results: Of the 160 students surveyed, 56% were male and 44% female, 61% has knowledge about HPV and 52% of teens said they had initiated sexual activity, taking into account that 53% always use a condom, usually 21%, 14% never, finally a 12% of the teenagers use condoms frequently.
Conclusions: The young people of the Javeriano School, has an average knowledge about human papillomavirus, symptoms, ways of transmission, potential victims, cancers that can cause and the methods to prevent it |
Description: | Antecedentes: Es muy importante valorar los conocimientos que tienen los estudiantes acerca del virus del papiloma humano debido a que los adolescentes sexualmente activos estarán con muy alta probabilidad expuestos a adquirir una infección causada por virus del papiloma humano.
Objetivo: Determinar los conocimientos actitudes y prácticas sobre el virus del papiloma humano en las/os estudiantes de bachillerato del colegio javeriano de la parroquia Sayausi. Cuenca, 2015
Metodología: La investigación realizada fue de tipo descriptivo-cuantitativo, que nos permitió determinar los conocimientos actitudes y prácticas sobre el VPH en las /os adolescentes. Trabajamos con un universo finito de 160 estudiantes, que corresponden a toda la población del bachillerato.
Aplicamos una encuesta realizada y validada por las autoras ya que no se ha encontrado un test validado sobre el virus del papiloma humano para adolescentes. Los datos obtenidos fueron procesados y analizados en Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SPS Versión 21 y analizados en cuadros estadísticos.
Resultados: De los 160 estudiantes encuestados el 56% son varones y el 44% son mujeres, un 61% tiene conocimientos acerca del virus del papiloma humano y 52% de los adolescentes afirmaron haber iniciado su actividad sexual, tomando en cuenta que el 53% utiliza siempre preservativo, casi siempre el 21%, nunca el 14%, finalmente tenemos quienes Frecuentemente usan preservativo con el 12%.
Conclusiones: Los jóvenes del Colegio Javeriano, tiene un conocimiento medio acerca de Virus del Papiloma Humano, sus síntomas, maneras de contagio, posibles víctimas, tipos de cáncer que puede provocar y los métodos para prevenir el mismo |
