Propuesta de un modelo de responsabilidad social para instituciones educativas de enseñanza media del área urbana de la ciudad de Cuenca. Caso práctico: Unidad Educativa Francisco Febres Cordero

Abstract

This thesis, it proposes a "Social responsibility model for educational institutions of secondary education in the urban area of the city of Cuenca" in order to provide a reference to ensure socially responsible management that contributes to sustainable development of society and generate added value for itself.

To meet this goal, first start by defining the theoretical basis of the most relevant Corporate Social Responsibility, which help you get a broad and general knowledge of the subject study.

Similarly, research conducted three types of educational institutions in our country is as follows: fiscales, fiscomisionales and individuals, in order to analyze the management of these entities with respect to corporate social responsibility, and get a situational analysis through the application of ADEC – Ethos indicators.

After the study, we proceed to design a model of Corporate Social Responsibility for educational institutions of secondary education, with the aim of creating a guide for institutional authorities so that they able to contribute to sustainable development through a prototype that addresses their activities a socially responsible way in the established axes thus achieving generate added value for those who choose to engage in this process.

Finally, this paper ends by applying the model proposed in the Educational Unit "Francisco Febres Cordero" in which certain strategic followed activities are proposed for the institution to operate in a socially responsible manner, focusing on the social, economic and environment, and also to generate profits for itself.
